Frown Lines, Facial Lines, Crows Feet, Worry Lines, Wrinkles, Bunny Lines arise partly from repetitive contractions of facial muscles. These muscles gain in size and tone throughout life, resulting in puckering of the overlying skin – wrinkles. The medical term for wrinkles is Hyperkinetic or Dynamic Facial lines.

Botulinum toxin relaxes these muscles by blocking the link between nerves and muscles, thereby softening the appearance of wrinkles. 

Eventually the body breaks down the blocking effect of the toxin, and the muscles start to work again.Botulinum toxin treatment effect lasts between 3-6 months before the effects fade. 

Some clients require more toxin than others based on the desired look and whether they are male or female.

The procedure involves the use of a fine needle (smaller than a diabetic needle) to treat the effected areas. It is quick and relatively painless. 

Effects should be seen by day 3 and peak by day 14. If necessary you can be reassessed at 2 or 3 weeks (included in the initial fee).

Botulinum toxin doesn’t give instant results at the moment of injection and each client requires a tailored prescription based on their desired look and natural response to the toxin.
